Back in January Bill Gates ( the founder of software giant Microsoft) gave what many are calling his "farewell speech." Some of the points he mentioned in that speech in Las Vegas include: Inventing a way of allowing consumers to easily synchronise devices, so what's on one device is on the all. He says that currently that's too difficult and too much trouble. Bill Gates also said that unlike some competitors, for Microsoft it was all about the software: the phone runs on software, TV is more and more software dependant. Gates goes on to say that Microsoft still holds the same core belief today as it did way back in the 1980's when the company was founded: software is at the centre of things and deciding on and believing in a software platform is key to the company.
