Bad news if you're a poker player. Fraudsters are consistently targeting computer users who play at online casinos with phishing attacks. The phishing attacks (designed to con people into unwittingly handing over personal details) are a broadening of the other online crime targets, namely banks and so on. Phishing for bank details is relatively difficult because people are reticent to handover personal details even to a purported bank official. However, poker players seem to be more easily conned, mainly because they're already using their credit cards and the security isn't as tough as in banks. And, as with offline casinos this opens the door to other criminal activities, such as money laundering. Some criminal activity can be done automatically using bots to continually transfer money to different accounts.
