In an attempt to try to stay one step ahead of hackers, some of the larger banks offering internet banking are implementing a system called "Two Piece Authentification" which basically means customers enter not only their password and username, but also a number generated at random by a little device the customer can keep with their computer. But remember, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and most of the time the most vulnerable point to hacking is the customer's PC. To prevent "crimeware" being installed on their computer, the internet banking customer has to have good, solid internet security software, such as ZoneAlarm.
