In a happy internet hacking story, a Nigerian man has been jailed for 18 months for his part in a operating to attack the computer of a NASA employee. The man courted the NASA employee with the intention of installing malware (software developed specifically to harm or abuse computer software) so that he might steal passwords, internet banking information and tens of thousands of screen shots. Some malware is known to take screen shots of computers so that hackers can watch what a computer user is doing. This essentially allows them to track login details, passwords and the personal information presented when conducting internet banking, and other personally detailed sites. Although the man did not target his victim because she worked for the government, the 22 year old Nigerian man was sentenced to the 18 month sentence by the court in the African country of Lagos.
