Sunbelt Blog has published a warning about a suspected 419 type spamming scam. The scam involves emailing not for profit organisations requesting donation details from an abstract foundation. Googling the foundation, or the supposed author of the email, Barbara Moratek of the Ivete Foundation, leads the searcher to a series of mpamdexed websites filled with prompts to download malware disguised as Active X scripts. Schemes like this are hatched every day globally and the only way to gain any sort of protection is with a comprehensive internet security suite like ZoneAlarm.
