Mozilla Fire Fox web browser targetted by Spyware
14, September 2009
A piece of spyware has been designed to target users of the Mozilla Fire Fox web browser.
The spyware poses as an adobe flash player update and once installed logs the internet browsing activity of the user.
It is specifically crafted to monitor the Google search queries in the Fire Fox browser.
While other internet browsers have suffered from this type of spyware for many years, this is one of the first instances of the spyware in the Mozilla browser.
